Instructions for translators

Rules

  • Everybody can make the suggestions
  • Only registered users can vote on the suggestions
  • "Promoted" users can approve the suggestions

How to become promoted?

  1. Look at the steam-page component and check the translation for your language (even check if everything is all right)
  2. Join discord: https://discord.gg/avBjPqT
  3. Post info into #translation channel: which language you would like to help with
  4. Wait for the reply from the devs

Discuss it in the #translation channel on Discord.

Variables

There are variables in the strings enclosed by {parenthesis}. These will be replaced in the game. We are using C# smart strings library for the manipulations.

Pluralization

You have {0} new {0:message|messages}
// Outputs: "You have 3 messages"

{ContractsLimit} offered {ContractsLimit:contract|contracts} limit reached.
// Outputs: "1 contract limit reached" or "2 contracts limit reached"

You can use also {var:ZERO|ONE|FEW|MORE} in languages when applicable.

  • Translations can be made directly.

  • Any authenticated user can contribute.
  • The translation uses monolingual files.

Unlocks [Dispatcher Office] in the [Construction].
Unlocks [Regional Train] contracts for the [Dispatcher Office].

These contracts comprise [multiple legs] with mandatory [intermission periods] between them.
During intermissions, trains must be relocated to the starting station of their next leg and eventually [stabled] somewhere. Once the next leg is due, train should be [reused] for the next leg.

Consider using a [Coach Yard] if your map becomes overcrowded by the stabled trains.

ICs [stop once] as per contract, [passing other] stations. Having locomotive only at one end results in [slow reverse] movement. This together with demand for [high speed] makes [ICs] a challenging but [safe source of money].

Use [a dropdown] in the [Routing Sensor Configuration] to [override] settings for routing of specific [train types].

Select different routing options for each train type as an override to the default configuration of the sensor.

Configure what platforms are used for routing of trains that arrive at [any platform] and [passing] trains that arrive at [any platform].

Note that the sensor does [not] route trains that [do not] have the connected station in their schedule. You can turn the advanced settings off per sensor.

This upgrade will come in handy to prevent accidentally misrouting a train.
